2026 Spring Meeting

The ECMHL spring meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 15th at 7:30 PM, at the Legion Hall in Lanigan. Each town must have a representative at the meeting, or the association will be fined $250 (towns with only U7 team participating in the ECMHL are exempt). 

Please have any motions to be voted on submitted to the league by April 1st.

Motions to vote on

 MOTION: That Hague, Cudworth and Aberdeen be admitted to the league with a U15 teams

MOTION: That U9, U11 and U13 teams are encouraged to only play 1 league game per week

MOTION: That U9 and U11 play games in November and December in order to split the teams into upper and lower divisions. These new divisions would be in effect for January to March, including the playoffs

MOTION: That U9 and U11 teams conduct playoffs in regional tournaments to eliminate some travel, with the winning teams from the tournament going on to play a championship round

Current Wording:

 Overage Players

 

A.     Overage players are defined as FEMALE players who are no more than one year  above the age limit for the division they wish to play in.

 

B.      Any female player that meets the above criteria are granted automatic approval by the league and do not need to apply for a concession to play down a year.

 

C.      All Overage players must be clearly identified on game sheets by marking “OA” beside the players’ name.

 

D.     All overage players may only play in the division that they have received a concession for. If they play a game with their regular age division the player will automatically forfeit their concession privileges and must play the remainder of the season with their appropriate age division.

 

 

Proposed Wording:

A.     Any team wishing to register an overage play must apply for a concession from the league, in writing, at least 2 (two) weeks prior to the Fall Organizational Meeting. Each concession will be voted on individually by the teams making up the division.

 

B.      All Overage players must be clearly identified on game sheets by marking “OA” beside the player's name.

 

C.     All overage players may only play in the division that they have received a concession for. If they play a game with their regular age division the player will  automatically forfeit their concession privileges and must play the remainder of the season with their appropriate age division.
