ITEMS TO VOTE ON AT LEAGUE FALL MEETING

New Divisions for U9, U11 and U13

Proposal to vote on:

In order to enable hockey games that are more even and competitive, ECMHL will have 2 or 3 divisions for U9, U11 and U13 hockey. Towns will need to self-declare at the Fall Organizational Meeting where they would like their teams placed for the season. Towns with multiple teams need to enter them all in the same division. Minimum of 6 teams needed per division, with League Executive having the ability to move 2 teams up or down if needed. If not enough teams are declared in each division, all teams will be placed in the same division as has previously been the case. This will be on a year to year basis, every fall meeting towns will declare where they would want to be placed.

All towns with teams in U9, U11 and U13 divisions will need to vote on this proposal at the fall meeting. If the proposal passes, then each of those towns will need to declare their division at the same meeting.

Motion: That the U9 league be split into 2 or 3 divisions for more competitive play. Towns will need to self-declare which divisions their team(s) will play in at the fall organizational meeting.

Motion: That towns with both all-female and all-male teams be allowed to place all female teams in one division and all male teams in a separate division if desired.

Motion: That the U11 league be split into 2 or 3 divisions for more competitive play. Towns will need to self-declare which divisions their team(s) will play in at the fall organizational meeting.
