Note to teams for the upcoming Playoffs and Provincials:
Provincial Team managers will have all received an email with the key instructions and reminders now. There have been a few issues that keep coming up, so as a reminder:
There are to be a maximum of 17 skaters and 2 goalies dressed for games. Injured players that want to be on the bench MUST be listed on the roster and be wearing a jersey, helmet and neck guard. They do count towards your total of 19 players.
Goalies need neck guards, even if their helmets are fitted with an extra plastic throat protector.
Referees are instructed NOT to discuss suspensions with coaches, as there are too many variables involved. The onus is on the teams to know what the rules are in regards to suspensions. If you need a little help with that, you can call me and I will do my best to help.
When playing the modified best of 3 series, have a game sheet ready for the potential mini game. The teams do not leave the ice, so by having the sheet ready it will help with the flow of the games.
